About a month ago, I joined an email group that gives out links to jobs and tips on keeping up with your writing. I needed this because I was down in the dumps about not being able to write for a living. I was at the point where I thought I'd have to quit and find a *gulp* REAL job.

Then I got an email from this group about a website that lists other jobs for writing (confused yet?) called Skyword. What they are is like a storefront for big names that need writers. They manage these writers, the articles and the monies for the big names - and I do means BIG names! 

This website is no where near like freelancer where anyone who calls themselves a writer can join. Oh no no. One must apply with real writing samples. :-) I applied about 2 weeks ago and actually forgot about it. Until yesterday, that is, when I got an email saying I have been accepted.

I got a writing job!!!!!!!

I will be writing health related articles for lifescript.com!!!!!!!! The best part is, I will be getting paid for it! Twice a month! With bonuses! Another cool thing about this is that my name WILL be on these articles! With freelancer, all I ever did was ghostwrite so my name was never on any articles. That saddened me because I knew I would never see my name related to some of the articles that I thought were my best work. I will still continue to ghostwrite if the group I write for needs me to, which they haven't in awhile. And, I may have to still go out and get a real job, but I am happy to have this chance to do what I love; write.

I had to edit this...I put the wrong website in. LOL! It is lifescript.com not the other one. The other one is umm...a website for ummm...adult things...do not go there! Oopsie!
