Valentine's Day was just a few days ago, and all over Facebook those words were written by angry women who didn't receive a Valentine's Day gift. Well, let me ask those angry women something; did you get him anything for Valentine's Day? No? Why not? Now, hang on. Don't tell me what all you do in a day and that he doesn't deserve anything just yet. We'll get to that in a minute.
If yes you did get him something and he still didn't do anything for you, what did you tell him days prior? I bet you uttered the words, "It's just a man-made greeting card holiday, I don't expect anything." Ladies, ladies, ladies...You got what you asked for. Reverse psychology doesn't work on men. Hitting them on the head with a frying pan is what works on them.
I'm a stay at home mom/housewife and I know exactly what it feels like to be taken for granted and not be appreciated for all the things I do around here. I understand that our husbands think their clean socks get washed, dried, folded and put away by the laundry fairy. And sometimes even end up in the dirty laundry hamper by this same laundry fairy, if the dog doesn't snatch them first. I get it. But, do you appreciate him? How do you show him that you appreciate how hard he works? He can't read your mind.
I want you to do something that will guarantee that next Valentine's Day will be one of the best. Starting today, I want you to show your husband how much you actually appreciate him. It doesn't have to be all sexual either, but throwing some spontaneous lovemaking in there certainly wouldn't hurt your relationship any. If you continue to show him how much he is wanted, needed, loved, and appreciated every day, he will do the same. Believe it or not, they have those same feelings that we do.

What did we do for Valentine's Day? Well, we had a housewarming party because we just moved. We were going to go out for dinner, but our party lasted longer than we expected, which was totally alright with us. The day after Valentine's Day, we went out to Long John Silvers for dinner. No, there isn't anything special about that place, but that's where I wanted to go. For us, it is just a holiday made up by those greeting card companies. My husband has been known to bring me home something special any day of the year, not just Valentine's Day.
Love is a 2 way street.
